Senior Process Engineer Job Description

Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

Start Date: Immediate

SUMMARY Develops processes, tooling and systems for pilot production of Reflex® displays, is a key team member in establishing a roll to roll manufacturing line, supports other manufacturing functions in display fabrication and process technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and optimize new processes to support the transition from lab to manufacturing of plastic Reflex™ displays.
  • Design and build custom tooling to aid in manufacturing displays.
  • Write documents, including standard operating procedures, test reports, specifications and progress reports
  • Lead the development of functional polymer coatings from process trials through ramp up to manufacturing.
  • Assist in establishing manufacturing work flow systems and documentation for Reflex® displays
  • Interacts and collaborates with other groups and departments within the company and with external suppliers and toll coaters.
  • Recommends process improvements including safety, yield and productivity and helps direct the design, procurement, fabrication, installation of process equipment and systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE This candidate will have BA or BS in Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering, MS degree a plus. This candidate should have 7-10 years production engineering experience in coating process and/or converting including an understanding of web handling and tension control systems, slitting operations and/or press operation.
