Albert M. Green, PhD
Dr. Green joined Kent Displays as CEO in June 2007. Prior to joining the company, Dr. Green was vice president and manager of the Applied Sciences Division at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). During his tenure of 13 years at SAIC, Dr. Green held several key positions including senior scientist, program manager and business unit chief scientist.
Dr. Green received a PhD in physics from Stanford University and a B.S. in physics from the University of Chicago. He holds more than 25 patents in the areas of display technologies and advanced materials.
President and Chief Financial Officer
Joel C. Domino
Joel Domino joined Kent Displays as chief financial officer at its inception in 1993. In 2003, Domino became the company’s president. Prior to joining Kent Displays, Mr. Domino held various positions at Ball Corporation of Muncie Indiana from 1982 to 1993. This included director of strategic planning, and chief financial officer of Madera Glass Company, a $100 million joint venture subsidiary.
Mr. Domino earned a BA in Accounting from Mount Union College and an MBA from California State University Fresno.
Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
J. William Doane, PhD.
Dr. Doane is a world renowned expert in the field of liquid crystal materials and devices. Together with William Manning of Manning Ventures of Rochester, NY, they co-founded Kent Displays, Inc. in 1993.
Dr. J. William Doane, was the director of the world-renowned Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University from 1983-1996 and led the effort during that time to establish the National Science Foundation Center for Advanced Liquid Crystalline Optical Materials (ALCOM).
As an active member of the international science community, he has held visiting appointments and maintained cooperative research programs in several countries. Dr. Doane was instrumental in formalizing the International Liquid Crystal Society and served as the organization's first treasurer from 1990-1996.
Dr. Doane was named a Fellow of the American Physical Society in 1982 and retired from the Kent State University in 1996 after a 31-year teaching and administrative career. Dr. Doane most recent award was the first ever presentation of the Slottow-Owaki Prize for Display Education at the Society for Information Display’s 2007 annual conference.
Vice President of Technology
Asad A. Khan, PhD.
As vice president of technology at Kent Displays, Dr. Khan directs the research, engineering and manufacturing efforts at Kent Displays in both rigid and flexible display products and devices.
Dr. Khan joined the company in 1995, and holds more than ten U.S. patents in cholesteric materials and displays. He also is an author of numerous technical publications in liquid crystals.
Dr. Khan received a B.A. in physics from The College of Wooster. From Kent State University, Dr. Khan received an M.S. in physics and a PhD in chemical physics from the Liquid Crystal Institute. He also holds an adjunct faculty position at the University.
