Roll to Roll Machine Operator
Job Title: Machine Operator
Summary: Roll-to-Roll Machine operator is responsible for the machine production of Liquid Crystal displays. Working closely with manufacturing engineer, operator loads rolls of film, sets up processes including screen printing/die cutting, and monitors machine operation.
Job Description:
- Reads and follows work orders, production drawings, procedures, specifications, other documentation and/or verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Assists engineer with machine setup.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in machine, fixture, or other holding device.
- Splices film or performs similar operations to join or secure materials in place.
- Performs intermediate machine tasks, such as cleaning, film handling, bulk switch testing, and WIP inventory.
- Performs on-line go/no-go testing and work in progress inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
Qualities: Requires excellent mechanical skills, ability to read and follow drawings demonstrate good attention to detail and have basic computer skills. The successful candidate should be safety conscious, prompt, detailed oriented, a dedicated team player, able and willing to lean, able to follow technical procedures carefully, and continually maintain a positive attitude.
Education and/or Experience: This candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
