Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Start Date: Immediate
Summary: This position will lead and support the complete range of strategic sourcing activities, including the formulation and implementation of commodity sourcing strategies, the development and implementation of supplier development and qualification programs, the negotiation of contracts, the analysis of spend and markets, and the ongoing management of strategic supplier relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads global strategic sourcing projects by employing best practices.
- Establishes preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, and compliance.
- Leads or facilitates supplier development and quality management programs, including evaluating process capability, tracking delivery and output, and reporting of supplier performance.
- Obtains the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management while employing LEAN and Continuous Improvement principles and tools.
- Develops crisis management and strategic supplier backup contingency programs.
- Analyzes and interprets cost drivers, and develops and drives “cost out” strategies with supply base.
- Leads or facilitates supplier site audits with a cross-functional team to determine appropriateness and quality of supplier's product.
- Participates in new product introduction teams, performing key procurement actions.
- Provides guidance and assistance to Procurement Specialists.
- Assists in order processing as needed.

Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, materials management, supply chain management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years sourcing and supplier development experience.
- Solid project management experience.
- Procurement experiences in high-volume injection molded parts, electronic components, printed circuit boards, fasteners, engineered films, and packaging materials.
- Experiences in sourcing from and supplier developments in Asia.
- Managerial experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP requirements and systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus).
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) a plus.
